This young mother was absolutely gorgeous! She has a little girl and is expecting a little boy, Matteo. I love the colors and was glad we were able to do them outdoors.
I had an awesome Senior Session with Caleb! We had a great location to shoot at, his grandparents farm, and his session couldn't have been better. We set up at the top of a hill on the farm to capture the perfect sunset.
I love shooting at the George Dickel Distillery. They have made multiple improvements to the grounds and I've always enjoyed any session that I've done there. Still do. But, our hot, dry, weather has caused the snakes to come out in abundance to get water from the stream that runs through the property. I'm scared to take children, or adults, along the water because you are bound to see at least one snake and sometimes 3 or more. And of course, little kids want to get down and run and play and I don't want to take the chance of them running up on a snake and getting bitten!
With Karen and her family, I went to one of my favorite spots on the property that gives you great contrast and color. And no direct sun!
This is one gorgeous young lady! This is not he first time I've photographed Chelsey. She is a member of the Cascade Marching Band and I also photograph the band every year. I photographed her at Cascade's Prom this last April. It wasn't hard to get a good photo of her and she had prepared well for this session with ideas, outfits and of course, her horse!
Austin is a senior at Community High School in Unionville, Tn. We were able to take photos inside the their new gym and then we moved onto the grounds of George Dickel, which is near my home. I've shot a lot of sessions near George Dickel but won't be going back until the weather cools off. Snakes are all along the creek bank, coming to the water since it has been so dry in our area. Austin had a great session and his prints turned out wonderfully and I was also able to create a custom Senior Book for he and his family.
I love photographing these beautiful babies! This little princess was only 7 days old when she was in the studio. Her 18 month cousin was also with her to have her portraits done. Lovely family! Thank you for letting me be your photographer...
A big thanks to Mr. Townes for coming in today for headshots. I love these quick sessions! I try to make them simple, quick, and efficient so they can be in and out within 30 minutes and back to work. Please leave a comment, like my images and subscribe!
This lovely creature is letting you know that she's very proud that her humans are getting married in October! She'll show you more from their session as soon as she can...
The late evening sun was gorgeous on Ethan on Carissa! Many thanks to Bonnie Delk for letting me shoot in her beautiful yard!
Joi de Vie in Shelbyville, a full service salon, has allowed me to display my business brochure in their salon. I will be printing a large canvas of the ladies who work there, so drop by in the coming weeks and visit with these ladies, get your hair and nails done, a massage, facial, go shopping at the Boutique, check out their portrait and pick up one of my brochures! Tell them you saw their business in my blog post...
It was hot on Saturday when I did a family session for George and Carisa DeShields. Their daughter, son-in-law, and new grandbaby were in from Florida. Parker is a doll! The hot, humid weather is rough on everyone's hair but that doesn't stop us from getting sweet pictures of those we love most! Thank you for allowing me to be your photographer. Check out George and Carisa's wedding photos under "Weddings".
Casson is a 2016 Senior from Tullahoma High School. This was my first time to shoot on the school campus and it was a great place to start his session. We spent about half of his session here and then went to Normandy to the Barton's farm.
Casson and Mom Danielle were very pleased with what I captured! I love doing senior photography and creating custom sessions to match the person's interests and personality. Contact me and let me know what interests you have, what sports do you play, what club are you involved in, or just tell me what you would like to do in your Senior Session and I'll make it happen!
Thanks Casson and Danielle!
We had to reschedule from a very windy day to one not so windy. This is Danielle and her soon to be extended family. Beautiful kids and a wonderful mom and dad, can't help but have a beautiful family portrait!
What can I say? This was actually the first wedding I have cried at. It was just emotionally charged and you can could tell they were so in love and happy to be getting married. Check out the composites I did for them. It was a pleasure to photograph your wedding and thank you for having me as your Wedding Photographer!
Levi turned One! I love doing the Smash Sessions and coming up with new ideas to incorporate into the sets. Pinterest is a great source for ideas as well as Etsy. It's also nice to come up with my own simple design!
Don't you just love a black and white image? The children were dressed all in white and had jet black hair. This made a beautiful image with the contrast between light and dark. Everyone should have one good image done in black and white. To me, it goes with any decor and never looks dated...
Check out the images of Lucas on his Storyboard...he only weighed 2 lbs. when he was born, look at him now!
I always wanted a home based, successful business...Dwane and I explored some options before we got married. But we never dreamed it would be a photography business! I didn't know I would get here from the path that I was put on, but here I am! As some of you know, I had just gone into business when Victoria was in an accident. I was never able to return to my job at the TN Fire and Codes Academy. When we saw that I was going to be at home as Victoria's caregiver, I spent my nights on the computer doing an online class that I am still enrolled in. I needed to earn an income.
It took me three years to really start earning. I put everything I made into equipment while I was getting the great tax credits the IRS gives during your start up years. So now I am a full service studio, fully booked, and the first quarter of 2016 tripled from the first quarter of 2015.
I love what I do, love being at home, and look forward to more great sessions and events this year!

I get a lot of calls for modeling headshots. Why? I've learned what most agencies want to see, I know studio lighting, I make the subject comfortable, and I'm not over the top expensive. This young lady is an accomplished model/actress and knew her stuff. She knew the poses and all I had to do was tweak and snap the shot. Isn't she gorgeous? and she has the personality to match!
